As most of the equipment is in the bike box. Not much left to do. Anyway as we travel together on one bike the major issue of the transport is the restriction of the luggage. As south America has a wide variety of climate zones we have to be prepared for minus 15 °C as well as windy rain and warm dry desert climate. With the spare parts, a tent, sleeping bags and cooking equipment the available space for clothe is restricted. As Luft Hansa (this is not a typo as the name was like that) stopped the directflight between Nuremberg and Santiago de Chile shortly before the Nuremberg Trials (because of shortage of travellers) i have to take a different route. Via Frankfurt and Buenos Aires is the way to travel. Roughly calculated it will be a 24 hour trip to Santiago and another 2 hours to get to Valparaiso. Wheather is nice as you can see on the pics. The Villa Kunterbunt is also nice and the owners are friendly and the children already started a jam session with drums and gitarre for a welcome song.
