DAY 19 - "Never trust the Peruvian police!"

Today I left the Hostal with the pan pipe terror. I guess they only have that CD so I heard it for breakfast and dinner all day long. So the plan was to right south to the Colca Canyon.

As I was not sure if the “Main”road was paved I asked a police man his answer “Yes it is paved since six years!”.
He was right the first 20 km were paved. The unpaved 200km he did not remember. So the ride brought me up at 4800m again and the road condition become tougher with every kilometer.
On the way there was a tiny little church with a old lady yarning wool. As I opened my bag and took a RICOLA she was looking very curious. So I offered her one and she could not refuse as I tool the picture of her.
