Day 40 - Routa de los siete Lagos

From San Martin de los Andes we followed the R234 “Routa de los siete Lagos”. The owner of the cabanas told us that he recommends a 4x4 and we should be very carefully and the street is much worse then the one we had yesterday. But in the end we found out that it was slippery because of the rain and the ashes from the volcano but basically it was okay. The view might be very spectacular but with the rain and the clouds we did not see much. What we have seen was awesome.
But the temperatures were awful +2°C and light snow on the border. So we moved on and hope for better weather. Lago Puyehue / Lago Rupanco and Lago Llanquihue all surrounded by volcanoes and all of them covered in clouds...
Bad luck! Finally we stopped at the Saltos de Petrohue.
Our bed is tonight in Puerto Varas - Casa Azul.
